Having found the gate needed new a journal, pin and bushes, we carefully lifted the gates leafs one at a time so that we could take the take measurements needed to make the new components, then re-hanged the gate leafs so the gates could be used while we made them. We then brought the new components back to site, lifted the gates leafs, replaced the components and re-hanged them, leaving the gates in good working order.
