Restoration of 19th Century Gate

We removed the gate and its side panels and took them to our workshop. There, we carried out repairs, made new sections and added them to the gate and panels, made a new journal and heel pins so the gate would work properly, and fitted a new lock to the gate. We then took the gate and its panels back to site, refitted them and left the gate working as well as it did the first day it was fitted in Queen Victoria’s time!
