Energy Centre Roof, Whipps Cross Hospital, London E17
Our task was to provide a steel platform (with steps and handrails) to support air conditioning units on the roof of the hospital’s Energy Centre. Working to civil & structural engineers’ drawings and instructions, we formed the structural steelwork, craned it onto the roof and bolted it to concrete pads. Part way through the project, the client told us they wanted to increase the height of the platform, so we manufactured and installed additional column stubs to achieve this.
