Heritage Gate Repairs for Royal Observatory Gates
Greenwich, London SE10

Heritage Gate Repairs We were asked to attend site urgently as the gate had dropped and couldn’t be locked. We realigned the gate so the locks lined up and left it in working order. During our call-out works, we’d noticed that the gate need a number of components to be replaced if it was to be restored completely to good working order. We provided the client with a report and they then asked us to go ahead with these works. We manufactured purpose-made bronze bushes, and stainless steel gate pins and plates, took them to site, lifted the gate leafs one at a time, removed the faulty components, secured the new ones and left the gate working perfectly.
