Gate Repairs, Church of St John with All Saints
Lambeth, London SE1

Lambeth Borough Council asked us to take a look at the gate to this Grade II listed church, which was stuck in the closed position. After reading our findings and proposals for repair, they asked us to go ahead. We removed the gate and took it to our workshop, repaired the journal pin, and made an internal bush socket for it. We also made a new packing plate and secured it to the underside of the gate heel. Then, we cleaned the gate and painted it with black gloss paint, before taking it back to site. It is now in good working order, and we've been asked to look at another gate that needs repair.
